Getting to PRACTICE

PRACTICE is at 482 Congress Street at the corner of Congress and Center Streets, right across from Longfellow’s House, with entrances on both Congress And Center.

We offer Park and Shop stamps for $1/hour of garage parking! Garage parking is available at the garages on Monument Square, Elm St by the Library or the lot on Cumberland Ave at the Time and Temp building. Please bring your parking card with you. Here’s a list of Portland’s Parking Garages

If you’re coming to PRACTICE before 9am, or for a 6:00 class, there’s no need to feed a meter and there is usually ample metered parking (except when there’s a concert at the Asylum or an event at the Civic Center). Mid-day or event busy times are good times for garage parking.

On the weekends, the Monument Square Garage (enter on Free St) is FREE.

Here are some other parking tips:

1. The Parking Garage on Cumberland Ave (between Preble and Brown St) (has a “TDBank Parking” sign identifying it) has 2 hour spots right after you enter into the garage AND you can walk through the Time and Temp building (which is sort of part of the garage) and come out right across the street from 482 Congress. We have “park and shop” stickers for $1/hour which is a discount from the garage’s rate of $1.75. (CLOSED ON WEEKENDS)

2. A little further up Cumberland Ave from the Monument Sq. Garage garage, just past Goodwill, is a stretch of unmetered 2 hour street parking (on the other side of the street). You’re just a block from Congress Street and about a block up from the studio if you park here.

3. There’s metered parking on Brown, Casco, Congress, Free and Center Streets.

#1 is easiest and best in bad weather.
#2 is free
#3 Parking on Center or Congress Street) is closest to the building.

Motorcycle and Scooter Parking is available at these locations.

Bicycle parking is available on Monument Square. Here are alternative bicycle parking areas.

PRACTICE is on the second floor – stairs and elevators are available at both entrances. PRACTICE is ADA accessible.

  1. Do you mind if I quote a couple of your articles as long as I provide credit
and sources back to your weblog? My blog site is in the very same niche as yours and my users would definitely benefit from a lot of the information you present here.
Please let me know if this okay with you.

    Thank you!
